The Pigling’s suddenly looked alert, their thick neck hair standing on end. Did they hear the crackle of the storm, thought Lucar. He crouched lower holding his breath, attempting to calm the bubbling storm in his throat. Lucar’s inexperience and youth hindered him in controlling his anger, the moments it took to fight the storm gave the Pigling’s all the time they needed to charge Lucar. Lucar could not believe that they would charge him. Four Pigling’s against a lone Lacarian, the odds were not in their favor at all.
As the Pigling’s charge, Lucar dismissed all thoughts of suppressing his anger and just let forth. A blinding light of six aquamarine lightning bolts sprang forth from his maw. Each of the bolts forked into smaller branches the further it traveled from Lucar’s mouth. As the energy struck the charging Pigling’s, it flared brightly the light twining with the shrieks of the Pigling’s, their armor drawing in only a fraction of the storm that Lucar brought forth. For those few moments, each Pigling stood stunned, the searing storm raging through them ferociously.
As the storm died down in Lucar’s throat, the Pigling’s dropped to the ground, their fat sizzling. The only Pigling still capable of movement was the leader, his thicker steelwood armor having saved him from being a full fried Pigling like those around him. Lucar staggered, using the nearby tree as a handhold to keep himself steady, the use of his inner storm drained his young body’s energy. The Pigling leader oinked pathetically as he got to his feet as he gripped his spear. Lucar flexed his claws and threw himself at the Pigling leader hoping to finish him off quickly. His claws swiped downwards and were blocked with the spear. The Pigling rammed his shoulder into Lucar causing the Lacarian to flinch slightly as he was pushed back. Lucar spun around striking with his tail, whipping the Pigling to the ground, cracking his burnt armor. Lucar smashed his fists down crushing the sternum of the Pigling leader, its squeals deadened by the thick forest.
